The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde
are proud to host the International Conference on Boundary and Interior
Layers, BAIL 2018, from 18th to 22nd of June, 2018.
The conference's topics are all aspects of computational and analytical methods for problems whose solution shows sharp layers, and singular perturbation problems.
The final programme for the meeting and abstracts for all the talks are available to download, as well as slides from the presentations.
Generously sponsored by:
The mathematical justification of the methods proposed is a central theme of the meeting, although more application-driven themes are also welcome.
Topics in any scientific field (fluid mechanics, semiconductor modelling, control theory, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics, chemical kinetics, etc.) in which boundary and interior layers occur are welcome.
Deadline for abstract submission: 30 April 2018.
Deadline for registration: 15 May 2018.
New: The conference proceedings will be published, after a standard refereeing process, as a volume in the Springer Verlag Lecture Notes in Computational Science and Engineering series. Details on the length of papers and timeline will be given at the Conference.
